The following are projects in which staff and associates are playing a particular role:

Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights (BLIHR)
Founded in 2003, the Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights was established by Respect Europe and is managed by BLIHR Ltd in London (http://www.blihr.org). It now has 14 member companies and is chaired by Mary Robinson, the former President of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. BLIHR Ltd also operates the Entreprises pour les Droits de l’Homme business network based in Paris.

Institute for Business and Human Rights
John Morrison serves on the steering group for an international Institute for Business and Human Rights (http://www.institutebhr.org), facilitated by Sam Hoskins. The other members of the steering group are Chris Marsden (Chair), Christine Bader, Peter Brew, Chris Avery and Annabel Short. During 2007 the focus is on consultations in different parts of the part to determine the appropriate role for an Institute. The first consultation is in London on 26 June 2007 supported by the International Finance Corporation. A copy of the initial proposal is posted here.

Realizing Rights: The Ethical Globalisation Initiative
Realising Rights has been a partner in the Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights since its inception in 2003 (http://www.eginitiative.org). John Morrison advises Realising Rights on business and human rights, and also international migration policy. John Morrison has recently compiled a draft of a report on three business and civil society roundtables held in Johannesburg, London and Los Angeles looking at the role of business in international migration, in partnership with The Hague Process on Refugees and Migration (http://www.thehagueprocess.org). The draft report is posted here and was circulated initially to governments and civil society at the Global Forum on International Migration in Brussels (9-11 July 2007).
